Does this Kill my Brain cells

I started taking a new medication for my blood pressure. Hypertension - it runs in the family. Now, sometimes when I stand up too quickly, I get very dizzy. My vision turns black and I cannot see anything for a minute.

Ok, I get the fact that certain medications (herbal and prescription) have this as a side effect. And although uncomfortable, it is manageable.

Wiki defines dizzy 'when standing too quickly' -as postural hypotension.
When standing too quickly, the blood goes to the legs and feet and there isn't enough blood to provide oxygen and nutrients to the brain. If only for a few seconds. The side effect is dizzyness and visual disturbances.

But here is my concern: Does depriving the brain, if even for a few seconds, hurt or even kill some of my brain cells? Believe me, I need them all.

I have searched the web and I didn't find any content to answer my question.

Oh well, I guess I'll know for sure when I start forgetting my own NAME! :)
